Leadership

Hart Weichselbaum, founder of THE PLANNING PRACTICE, is a consumer psychologist whose training is both academic and practical.

Academically, he received an undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and a PhD in Psychology from the University of Colorado. Practically, he was a bartender while in school and studied the human condition from an entirely different perspective.

After a brief stint as an academic, he established the first strategic planning function at The Richards Group, a creatively-focused, ad agency in Dallas. Later he was Executive VP, Director of Account Planning, for Foote, Cone, and Belding, in Chicago.

He has been an adjunct faculty member at the DePaul University Wellstadt Graduate School of Business and is a founding member of America’s largest professional organization of advertising strategists
